We are very pleased to announce that we have been successful with our application to the County Council’s 2025 Community Fund in the sum of £500 with the help of Councillor Jill Hood. This grant will immediately help us to recruit and train more volunteers to support those people who are going through bereavement and loss in our local area. One of our volunteers, Steve Clifford, has created some 2026 Calendars with all proceeds helping to raise funds for us at SDBLS. They are £10 each or £12 with postage.  They can be collected from Oakridge Business Centre, Co-op Funeralcare in Stone or by emailing sdblss@hotmail.co.uk and we will post them.

Matty's Bike Ride - one of our Volunteers' son, Matty Sohie, did a bike ride from London to Brighton in September raising a massive £667 for the charity completing it in 3 hours and 56 minutes.   Thank you Matty - a job well done!
